PAIN CONFESSOR Enter Studio To Record New Single

January 11, 2004

Finnish melodic metallers PAIN CONFESSOR entered Studio Sound Supreme on Thursday (January 8) to begin recording a two-song single, to be released sometime next month. "Drum and bass parts have been recorded for both songs," the band write on their web site. "Next in line are the rhythm guitars, lead guitars, vocals and keyboard orchestration to be recorded next week."

The single, which is being produced by PAIN CONFESSOR and Janne Saksa, will contain the following cuts:

01. Lake of Regret
02. Poor Man's Crown

As previously reported, PAIN CONFESSOR recently signed a three-record deal with the Finnish label Megamania. The group's full-length debut is planned for release in the fall.

PAIN CONFESSOR play "melodic metal with clean and death metal vocals mixing various metal sub-genre influences into their unique style," according to an official press release. "Lots of guitar and vocal harmonies intertwine with atmospheric keyboards and tight rhythms. This is thrashy metal but there are no limits to the band's musical expression and imagination. Members are by no means newbies in the metal scene, line-up featuring members all the way from old school thrashers A.R.G. and long-[running] aggro-metallers JANE DOE 69 and NONSLIPLEVEL."
